Robert Walters European Job Index – Q2 2014: Strong demand for candidates across financial services sector in Luxembourg
The number of jobs advertised in Luxembourg rose 17% since the first quarter of this year and 29% compared to the same time last year, according to the latest Robert Walters European Job Index.   The increase in advertising was mainly driven by demand for professionals with expertise related to the financial services industry, which dominates Luxembourg’s job market. The number of accounting and finance roles advertised increased by 9% on the last quarter and banking and financial services job adverts rose by 3%, as the amount of assets under management in Luxembourg continued to increase and holding companies and fund managers bolstered their teams.   With increased regulatory pressure on financial services companies and a back-log of licencing...
