The King appointed the new federal government headed by Prime Minister Alexander De Croo (Open-VLD) and seven deputy prime ministers for the seven parties of the coalition: PS (socialist French-speaking), MR (liberal, French-speaking), Ecolo (green, French-speaking), CDV (Christian, Flemish), Open-VLD (liberal, Flemish), sp.a (socialist, Flemish) and Groen (green, Flemish). Former Prime Minister Sophie Wilmès (MR) is the new minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs, Trade and Bicultural Institutions.
