THE NEW BELGIAN GOVERNMENT
The King appointed the new federal government headed by Prime Minister Alexander De Croo (Open-VLD) and seven deputy prime ministers for the seven parties of the coalition: PS (socialist French-speaking), MR (liberal, French-speaking), Ecolo (green, French-speaking), CDV (Christian, Flemish), Open-VLD (liberal, Flemish), sp.a (socialist, Flemish) and Groen (green, Flemish). Former Prime Minister Sophie Wilmès (MR) is the new minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs, Trade and Bicultural Institutions.   All our congratulations to Prof. Dr. Frank Vandenbroucke (sp.a) who becomes deputy prime minister and minister of Health and Social Affairs, a portfolio he held in 1999-2003.
