Emerging economies : recovery and emancipation
Emerging economies represent bigger and bigger weightings in many investors' international portfolios. No serious investor can now afford to overlook China, Russia, Brazil and India. Moreover, emerging country companies now represent over 13% of the MSCI AC World. But the actual notion of emerging or developed markets is less and less relevant. We are now moving towards an approach which ranks countries in terms of investment potential, a positive development stemming from the debate over government debt.
