EU regulation for long-term investment funds (ELTIFs) was overhauled, and the revised version, ELTIF 2.0, came into force on 10 January 2024. The industry has overwhelmingly welcomed this update especially considering that the first version of the regulation’s overall adoption as a pan-European product label was underwhelming. Notably, there has been a lot of buzz surrounding ELTIF 2.0 in the industry over the past months, welcoming a positive reception.
