Cargolux and Qatar Airways combine their strengths in global air freight
Cargolux International Airlines S.A. (Cargolux, the Company) announced a strategic equity partnership with Doha-based Qatar Airways. The partnership will include the acquisition of a 35% stake in Cargolux and a commercial cooperation. The transaction was signed on behalf of the selling Cargolux shareholders by the Luxembourg Minister of Finance, Luc Frieden, and on behalf of the Company by its President and Chief Executive Officer, Frank Reimen. The new shareholder was represented by the Chairman of the Board of Directors His Excellency Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabr Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and by Akbar Al Baker, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways, who signed the accord on behalf of Qatar...
