Luxembourg needs to reskill
By Romain SIEBENALER, Country Manager Cisco Luxembourg   The start of the school year has revolved around digitally-enhanced education, with the opening of the brand new Lycée Edward Steichen (LESC) in Clervaux and Luxembourg Learning Centre (LLC) of the University of Luxembourg in Belval. Both institutions will help Luxembourg prepare for the digital age, but also to close a gap that we perhaps have neglected for too long.   About 65% of Luxembourg companies say vacancies for IT specialists appear hard to fill, compared to 48% on average in Europe. Digital expert is the most frequent vacant job at our national unemployment agency ADEM, after financial specialist. Companies cannot digitize if they lack the necessary skills to do so.   ...
