ALFI: European voters ranked Luxembourg “most favoured domicile” in the 2012 Hedge Fund Review Service Provider Rankings
European voters ranked Luxembourg “most favoured domicile” in the 2012 Hedge Fund Review Service Provider Rankings. Luxembourg was also voted third most favoured domicile by global voters, after Cayman and the US. “We’re delighted that they have recognised Luxembourg’s strength as a domicile for alternative funds,” says Camille Thommes, Director General of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry. He continued: “Our ambition to ensure that Luxembourg remains a leading domicile for alternative assets classes reflects our determination to lead the way in serving the hedge, real estate and private equity communities globally.” The rankings, announced at an event in London, were created through a process of voting by hedge funds, funds of hedge funds and investors into the industry....
