Luxembourg modernizes its Fund Law Toolbox
By Dr. Sebastiaan Niels HOOGHIEMSTRA, Loyens Loeff Luxembourg *   On 24 March 2023 the Luxembourg government published bill of law n°8183 (“Bill”) that seeks to amend five Luxembourg laws that regulate alternative investment funds (“AIFs”) and alternative investment fund managers (“AIFMs”) to modernize the so-called “Luxembourg fund law toolbox” and to bring it in line with changes in the European investment fund law domain, such as the adoption of Regulation (EU) 2023/606 that amends Regulation (EU) 2015/760 on European long-term investment funds (“ELTIF”) on 15 March 2023.   This contribution provides an overview and analyzes the impact of the changes made to the following five Luxembourg laws: - Luxembourg law of 13 February 2007...
