For the third consecutive year, Cargolux has been named ‘Best Developing Cargo Airline’ by Budapest Airport. The 2012 award was presented to Cargolux Country Manager Anthony McNichol by Budapest Airport CEO Jost Lammers and Aviation Director Kam Jandu during a ceremony at Budapest Airport on 7 February 2013. During this occasion, the airport handed out 10 awards; 9 of those were in the passenger category, while Cargolux received the sole cargo-related award. Cargolux inaugurated regular 747 freighter flights to Budapest in October 2002 and has steadily increased its frequencies and presence at Budapest airport. With these flights, Cargolux connects Hong Kong to Budapest with onward connection to Luxembourg.
