The law of 7 July 2023(1) (the “Law”), coming into effect as of 1 August 2023 and aiming at transposing Directive (EU) 2019/1151 of the European Parliament and of the Council of June 20, 2019, amending Directive (EU) 2017/1132 regarding the use of digital tools and processes in corporate law (the “Directive 2019/1151”), follows the path of digitalization in notarial practice and, more broadly, marks a significant milestone in the adoption of electronic signature within the Luxembourg legal system.
