The secondary market for private equity is thriving as investors rebalance their portfolios. In the first half of 2022, the value of PE secondary securities reached $57 billion, surpassing the previous first-half record set a year prior.
According to the most recent research reports on the worldwide secondary market, the value of PE secondary transactions hit $57 billion in the first half of 2022, shattering the previous first-half record of $48 billion set in 2021. The company predicts that the entire secondary transaction volume for private equity will exceed $120 billion by the end of the year.
