Tip 1: Use a full bottle of water as a substitute for a hand-held mic
As you practice and rehearse, try to put yourself into a “real” situation as much as you can. One way to do this (if you don’t have access to a real one) is to take a 0.5 litre water bottle filled with water and use it like a microphone when you rehearse.
