Significant progress has been made in the Euro area over the past year as the Eurozone emerged from recession and recorded improvements in leading indicators, particularly the Purchasing Managers Index surveys. However, the Eurozone is only showing limited signs of recovery and tight credit conditions and political risk could both still hinder growth.
