Mind the (gender) pay gap!
By Marie SINNIGER, Counsel, Head of Employment and Alyssia MECHALIKH, Managing Associate Employment, Linklaters Luxembourg   Let’s take a closer look at the Pay Transparency Directive (PTD)(1) which entered into force on 7 June 2023 and is to be transposed by Member States by 7 June 2026?   Certain actors feel it is premature to investigate this new framework. Others – particularly from the financial sector – may consider themselves exempt from these new provisions with which they already comply in part. Although PTD sets out requirements, most of which already exist, it provides for a more wide-reaching and prescriptive set of rules on pay transparency and gender pay reporting than ever before.
