Simmons & Simmons grows Luxembourg tax practice
International law firm Simmons Simmons has announced that its Luxembourg financial markets practice is to be joined by Julie Carbiener as a partner on 1 May. Julie Carbiener will bolster the firm’s tax team in the region. Julie Carbiener joins the firm from Allen Overy Luxembourg, where she has spent over a decade building her practice.   Julie Carbiener focuses on direct and indirect tax aspects of domestic and international real estate, private equity and debt transactions. Julie Carbiener also deals with the structuring of Luxembourg regulated and unregulated alternative investment funds and specialises in tax litigation and VAT.
