Under discussion since 2023, the EU Anti-Corruption Directive 2026/1021 was finally adopted on 21 April 2026 by the Council of the European Union. Conceptually, the Directive is aligned with international standards, in particular the UN conventions on the fight against corruption. Among the new measures, it is interesting to emphasize a close cooperation and data sharing between national authorities and European bodies(1).
