Recently, SEPA has started to offer the option of requesting payments via standardized messages with Request to Pay (R2P). It is now possible to almost completely automate processes from invoicing to final payment for both the payee and the payer (E2E automation). This means an absolute efficiency gain of EUR 1.4 to EUR 3.9 per transaction for both involved companies!
