Uzbekistan: The significant socio-economic developments that took place in Khorezm
Between 2017 and 2022, the gross regional product (GRP) of the region increased by 32% to 32.0 trillion Uzbek sums ($3.2 billion), equivalent to 16.5 million Uzbek sums ($1,650) per capita.   Industrial production saw a remarkable growth from 4.1 trillion Uzbek sums ($410 million) to 18.3 trillion Uzbek sums ($1.83 billion) (a real increase of 1.7 times), with its contribution to the GRP rising from 16.6% to 21.3%.   Agricultural production also witnessed a significant increase, rising by 1.7 times from 9.4 trillion Uzbek sums ($940 million) to 24.6 trillion Uzbek sums ($2.46 billion).
