The relaunch of the EU-Qatar Parliamentary Friendship Group for the 9th Legislature of the European Parliament took place on the 13th of November 2019 in the premises of the European Parliament, in Brussels, in the presence of H.E. Mr. Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Sulaiman Al-Khulaifi, Head of Mission of the State of Qatar to the EU, Mr. Cristian Busoi, (Romanian) MEP, Vice-chair of the ENVI (Environment, Public Health Food Safety) Committee, and many other MEPs. The Friendship group counts already 18 MEPs.
In his opening, Mr. Busoi said that he is happy to re-launch the EU-Qatar Parliamentary Friendship Group, expressing his assurance that the Friendship group will enhance the relations between the European Parliament and the State of Qatar on many levels.
