HSBC has appointed Niccolo Polli as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of HSBC in Luxembourg, succeeding Lars Rejding. Niccolo Polli joined HSBC in 2011 and has worked in a variety of roles, including Head of Strategy UK and Chief of Staff to the UK Chief Executive Officer, Deputy to the Head of Global Business Banking and most recently Deputy CEO & Head of Strategy Europe International. Prior to joining HSBC, Niccolo Polli had a varied career in finance in the USA, UK, France and Italy before becoming Chief Executive Officer in Italy for a Londonbased alternative investment management firm. Niccolo Polli participated in the recent Bell ceremony for Industrial Bank of China’s green bond listing on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. HSBC acted as green advisor and joint global coordinator.
