Statement by Claude Kremer, Chairman of Alfi, at the 19th edition of the annual global investment funds forum (28/09 and 29/09/2010), in association with NICSA, his American sister association. This is Luxembourg’s largest fund distribution event attracting more than 700 industry professionals over two days.
Ladies and Gentlemen, funds are good for you! You know it, but do you say it? Funds are good for our industry of course, and for Luxembourg. But more importantly, funds are good for Europe and for citizens around the world. Funds facilitate investment in innovation, business and infrastructure. Funds help create jobs. And, above all, funds help citizens protect their wealth and prepare their future with confidence. Unfortunately, this is not yet conventional wisdom. And...
