Ernst & Young has published the first edition of Hedge Funds in Luxembourg – A technical guide. The 130 page publication provides a comprehensive guide to the setting up and running of Luxembourg hedge funds along with details of the key regulations applicable. Luxembourg administers hedge funds and funds of hedge funds with combined assets representing around 10% of the global hedge fund industry. With the introduction of the Specialized Investment Fund (SIF) Law in February 2007, there is strong growth in this sector; Ernst & Young expects this growth will be sustained going forward.
