Revised ELTIF regime can contribute to post-Covid recovery and green transition

But its time may now be arriving with significant changes expected to be proposed by the European Commission this month, at a moment when demand for private investment in long term assets such as physical infrastructure is seen as an important driver of economic recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic. To date just 57 ELTIFs have been established across Europe, of which 26 are in Luxembourg, with significant numbers also in France and Italy.
