A bi-annual survey conducted by KPMG and the Luxemburger Wort has revealed that Luxembourg Business leaders are pessimistic about the future economic climate. The Luxembourg Business Compass (LBC) survey was launched in April 2009 with the support of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce. It invites top decision makers at the largest companies in Luxembourg to respond on how they expect the Luxembourg economy to develop in the next twelve months. The spring 2012 survey found that Luxembourg entrepreneurs expect the economy to stagnate over the coming year. While only a year ago, the outlook was considerably more optimistic, expectations for the economy have now returned to autumn 2009 levels.
