The Hungarian Government seems to be in disagreement with the EU executive concerning two issues: the Central European University (CEU) and the Stop Brussels national consultation. How does the law concerning Hungarian universities differ from licensing regulations in other EU countries?
First, I would also like to underline that academic freedom is a very precious value in Hungary. The Fundamental Law of Hungary declares the freedom of education and research. Nonetheless, institutions of higher education, including foreign based universities, need to respect Hungarian legislation in force.
